Hey There

People experience challenges in their lives that are sometimes difficult to work through alone. Together we can make sense of it, and achieve a healthier, happier life. By providing a safe and empathic space, you can explore those challenges in your life.

My approach to each session is to be with you, through truly listening, providing a judgement-free environment, respectful challenge, and mutual participation throughout the therapeutic process. As a team, you and I will process the emotional, cognitive, physical, familial, and spiritual factors impacting your life, and preventing you from achieving your goals.

All About Jaime

Jaime is a registered psychotherapist, published author, and organizational consultant with nearly two decades of experience providing counselling and consultation in the healthcare industry. She is highly skilled in treating a variety of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, alcohol and substance abuse, eating disorders, infertility/IVF, etc. She is a published author in the Individual Journal of Psychology and has also authored two books: “Basketcase” (2018) and “Hungry Heart: Break Free from Emotional Eating and Develop a Healthy Relationship with Food” (2022). In Hungry Heart, Jaime explores why we turn to food in the face of struggle, and what we can do to change this behaviour.

Jaime began her career with Aspen Education Group, an organization focused on tackling both adolescent and adult weight struggles and emotional eating. Using her well developed skills in assessment, she quickly rose from the rank of clinician to become the clinical director, where she effectively transformed the program objectives to examine the role of trauma and childhood attachment.

Dedicated and passionate, Jaime volunteers her clinical skills to Kutana WEMA, a Kenyan-based organization whose mission is to rehabilitate street children through holistic care and support. Jaime is a valued member of their individual peer consultation program, which matches Kenyan-based counsellors with internationally-based counsellors for peer support.

Jaime is highly skilled in the effective application of a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), and Eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR).
